Orthodontics

The various treatment modalities are
Traditional Metal Braces.
These include conventional braces, which require ties to hold the arch wire in place. They can be small in design, sturdy and the most economical.
Self Ligating Metal braces
Similar to metal braces, it reduces the number of appointments required for treatment. We can have upto 12 weekly appointments instead of the regular 4 weekly appointments.
Ceramic or Tooth Coloured Braces.
Typically, these brackets are made of ceramic or plastic materials and function in a similar manner to traditional metal brackets. Also patients vouch that ceramic braces are more comfortable than traditional metal braces.
Invisible braces
These are custom made fixed braces bonded to the back of the teeth making them invisible to other people. With Invisible braces (lingual orthodontics) you can show your smile not your braces.

Dental Sealants - Preventing Decay in Back Teeth
Dental sealant is a plastic resin that bonds to the deep grooves in the tooth's chewing surface. When sealing a tooth, the grooves of the teeth are filled and the tooth surface becomes smoother — and less likely to harbor plaque.
Fluoride application
Application of professional fluorides at regular intervals strengthens the tooth structure by incorporating fluoride ions into the structure making them less prone to tooth decay.
Space Maintainers
Space maintainers are needed in children with premature primary tooth loss, in order to prevent adjacent baby teeth from moving into spaces till the permanent successor erupts.. Space maintainers may also eliminate the need for aggressive orthodontic therapy in the pre-teen and teen years.
